ADULT CLASSES
I am offering a 5 week Adult course from Thursday 10th June to Thursday 15th July 7pm - 8pm at
St Michael’s Community Hall (Next to the Lord Kitchener Pub)
Wrotham Road
Welling
DA16 1LS
adult

The aim of the adult classes is to create confidence and self esteem in conversation (informal – such as networking) and also in a more professional capacity (formally such as presenting and speaking in public). I will be teaching adults how to use multiple sentence flow which aids with spontaneous speaking and conversation; there are certain rules which can make ad-libbing much easier.

adult 2I will be teaching vocal techniques which help with clarity of speech, modulation and intonation – these skills allow the speaker to have a vocal tool box to use in formal and informal situations. Presentational skills include body language and certain idiosyncrasy’s particular to the individual, which shows whether the speaker is nervous, shy or uncomfortable when speaking in public. To this end, we will work on body language and movement to ensure a relaxed demeanour.

We will be working in small groups on scripts and improvisations this will include character work, this also assists with creative speaking and broadens the vocal range – it is also a lot of fun.

The aim of the adult classes is not to change the individual but to enhance and increase the abilities you already posses adult 3and to that end, just like with the younger students, everything is based on positive reinforcement and critical construction evaluation. There is also the social side of the class which means making friends with other people within the group.

The 5 week course is offered at an introductory price of only £40 per half term and if you are interested please phone me on 020-8-331-0707 to book a place as numbers will be limited. If you require any further information please call me on 020-8331-0707 or email selondon@helenogrady.co.uk
